ANU Advanced Instrumentation and Technology Centre
The Advanced Instrumentation and Technology Centre is a national facility supporting the design, integration, and test of innovative instruments. It has demonstrated expertise in the design and construction of high-performance optical, infrared, ultraviolet, and hyperspectral instruments. Using the AITC facilities, and the latest adaptive optic systems, detectors, imagers, lasers, cryogenics, and control systems, the AITC is developing instruments with low noise, high readout rates, and maximum information capture. These instruments are being used at some of the world’s leading astronomical observatories, and to improve the performance of laser ranging telescopes and space debris tracking systems. The AITC is also applying its expertise to the development of instruments for geo-spatial applications.
