Robert was admitted to practice and then practised as a solicitor in South Australia. He then joined a leading Accounting firm Touche Ross & Co, specialising in Taxation and was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants. He moved over to the commercial world working in finance and management in leading Australian wine companies in the Hunter Valley, South Australia and Sydney.
Having joined CEA Technologies as an external director at its founding he took on a full time senior finance role in the company in Canberra in 1996. He has subsequently filled the positions of Financial manager, CEO and currently, Commercial Director.
He is a great believer in the potential of the Australian indigenous defence industry and seeks to build understanding of the capabilities that it possesses. As part of this role he is National President, Australian Industry Defence Network (AIDN) Australia, and has served as a member of Defence and Innovation advisory boards, including as Chairman of the AIDN (ACT) Chapter.
