Families with children
ACT Public Schools have moved to remote learning in Term 2. Most public school students will undertake their learning from home.
Safe and Supervised Sites are available to students who, for any reason, are unable to do their remote learning from home. Students attending the sites will undertake the same remote learning program as their classmates at home.
For more information about remote learning or Safe and Supervised Sites, visit the Education website.
The Home Learning: Resources for Students and Families online portal has been developed to support parents and children learning from home. This online learning resource library is user friendly and suitable for students of all ages with a wide variety of engaging lessons, activities, podcasts, video links and family guides. You can find updated frequently asked questions on the Education website.
Libraries ACT also has some resources for children of all ages, including online story time, games and activities.
If you are working from home with school-aged children, your safety, health and wellbeing is a priority, including your mental health. If you’re finding your current work arrangements difficult, you are encouraged to talk to your manager to find a flexible solution to suit your situation. Your manager is there to support you in working flexibly at this time, especially for those of you with school-aged children or other caring responsibilities.
