ACTPS Skills Register

The ACT Public Sector is a large and valuable resource for our community, providing countless services. With your commitment to helping fellow Canberrans, we’ve managed to continue to provide essential services to the community through bushfires, storms and the COVID-19 pandemic.

You - our people - have an incredible diversity of skills and experience, not all of which are used in your current roles. As we’ve seen throughout 2020, it’s these additional skills that could become the most important in an emergency.

Show us what you’re made of

We’re creating a Skills Register to help match ACTPS employees with potential opportunities in the future to make the biggest difference. Whether it’s driving a heavy vehicle or caring for vulnerable people, we want to know what skills you have that could bolster our essential services in times of crisis.

ACTPS Skills Register

When disasters impact our community, many of us wonder what we could do to help. Telling us about your qualifications, skills and experience is a great first step.

While we hope never to face a crisis requiring staff redeployment, the Skills Register will help us move quickly should the need arise.

Provide your information any time

The ACTPS Skills Register will always be open, so click the link above or follow the links on your directorate or agency intranet to submit your information any time.

Providing your information is entirely voluntary. In the event we do match you to an urgent need we’ll look after your release from your current role and your pay will not change.

Information you supply to the Skills Register will be treated in accordance with the ACT privacy framework.
