The national VET system is underpinned by the National Skills Framework. The National Skills Framework consists of three components:
The VET Quality Framework
The VET Quality Framework (VQF) is the set of nationally agreed quality assurance arrangements for training and assessment services delivered by training organisations. More information on the VQF is provided on the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) website.
The Australian Qualifications Framework
The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) is a comprehensive framework for all nationally recognised qualifications in schools, vocational education and training, and higher education. More information on the AQF is provided on the AQF website.
A training package is a set of nationally endorsed standards and qualifications used to recognise and assess people's skills in a specific industry, industry sector or enterprise.
