There is no application fee for submitting an FOI request under the Act, but processing charges may be applied including where the information given in response to a request is over 50 pages or where there are charges incurred in providing the information in a particular format. Applicants will be informed if processing charges are to be imposed, and will be provided with a statement setting out the basis on which the charge is calculated. Applicants may seek a waiver of the charge they are liable to pay.
