Pavement rehabilitation work to be carried out on Erindale Drive this week

Released 19/06/2019

Road users are advised that there will be closures on Erindale Drive this week as work is carried out to provide a safer, smoother road surface for all road users.

Location and timing of works

Nightworks will be carried out on Thursday 20 June 2019 and Friday 21 June 2019 from 7 pm to 6 am at the intersection of Erindale Drive and Sternberg Crescent. In case of unexpected delays, including inclement weather, nightworks may continue the following night, Saturday 22 June 2019. The following road closures will be in place:

  • Erindale Drive will be closed in both directions between Ashley Drive and Sulwood Drive
  • Sternberg Crescent will be closed in both directions between Maltby Circuit and Erindale Drive.

Detours will be in place via Sulwood Drive, Ashley Drive and Isabella Drive.

This work is being carried out as nightworks to minimise impact to motorists along this busy section of road. Works include removal/repair of existing road pavement, placement of new road pavement and line marking. To reduce noise for local residents, every effort will be made to complete the noisiest works between 7 pm and 11 pm.

Effects on traffic

  • Delays are expected.
  • Barriers as well as warning and diversion signs will be erected to alert people to the temporary road closures.
  • Drivers are asked to be mindful of the changed traffic arrangements and adhere to the work zone speed limits.
