New Tracks and Trails now open at the Arboretum

Released 27/09/2019

An extra 12 kilometres of tracks and trails have been added to the National Arboretum Canberra to enhance its 8km of existing and popular trails network. The new trails meander through approximately 60 forests and take in some of Canberra’s best views.

The new multi-use, multi-directional tracks and trails will better connect the Arboretum to surrounding areas, such as the city and Mount Stromlo, supporting Canberrans to keep healthy and active by walking, running and cycling.

Since opening its doors in 2013, the National Arboretum Canberra has welcomed more than 3.9 million visitors and is a popular destination for visitors, recreational users and active commuters.

More information about the National Arboretum Canberra and details of the new tracks and trails can be found at: www.nationalarboretum.act.gov.au/visit/recreation#walking_trails
