This Saturday afternoon will see the staging of the third International Music Festival in Norgrove Park at Kingston Foreshore.
Supported by the Land Development Agency (LDA), the festival runs from 1.30 pm to 5.00 pm, featuring an eclectic mix of performers playing music which ranges from jazz, folk, contemporary rock, samba and Gypsy, to Baroque and Renaissance.
The bands include The Miroslav Bukovsky Quintet, Julia and the Deep Sea Sirens, Party Gravy, Trumpet Club and Los Chavos plus Tim Meyen and flutists duo Kate Clark and Liane Sadler.
As with previous years, the Festival Markets will feature an extensive range of locally sourced food and handcrafted goods including designer winter woollies.
Fine coffee and wine will also be available.
Children will be kept entertained by roving performers.
"The LDA is committed to building vibrant communities with neighbourhood safety and environmental awareness at the forefront," said David Dawes, the LDA Chief Executive.
"Much of the Kingston Foreshore Precinct has now been developed and it is becoming increasingly popular with both locals and visitors.
"I encourage Canberrans to take this opportunity to experience this unique part of our city which will also be an arts and cultural precinct in coming years."
