Bookings are now open for an exciting overnight wildlife experience at Canberra’s premiere wildlife sanctuary – Tidbinbilla.
"WILDfest at Tidbinbilla is the ultimate family sleepover and is set to connect people with nature from Friday 28 September to Saturday 13 October 2018," ACT Parks and Conservation Nature Stays Manager Michelle Vernon said.
"For the first time, visitors will be able to wake up in the wild and explore Tidbinbilla’s incredible nature reserve while staying overnight at the spectacular Wildfest Pop Up Wilderness Family Camp.
"Campers will be able to attend a vast array of fun and safe outdoor activities including day and night wildlife encounters, ranger-guided walks, and information sessions to learn about the incredible wildlife and the Indigenous and European history in the Valley. It’s a great chance to see animals in their natural bush setting.
"By night, campers can experience Dreamtime stories by firelight, all within the comfort of a fully catered 'glamping' tent accommodation with amenities on site. A delicious dinner and breakfast is also provided."
Tidbinbilla is located 40 minutes by car from the centre of Canberra. It is home to an amazing array of flora and fauna which includes the fascinating bettongs (rat kangaroos), potaroos, platypus, turtles, kangaroos, emus, koalas and lyre birds.
