Emergency Services awards now open

Released 06/03/2019

Now is your chance to acknowledge the valuable work of Canberra’s emergency services personnel and volunteers by nominating them for the ACT Rotary Emergency Services Community Awards.

This is an opportunity to recognise our emergency services personnel and volunteers who never ask for a thank you, yet make a significant contribution to our community.

These community nominated awards are the first time both paid and volunteer personnel have been recognised by an awards program in the ACT.

In line with Rotary’s motto “Service Above Self”, the awards celebrate and acknowledge the commitment, selflessness and community service of emergency services personnel.

The awards are open to all emergency service personnel located in ACT, serving in either a paid capacity or as a volunteer:

  • ACT Fire & Rescue
  • ACT Ambulance Service
  • ACT Rural Fire Service
  • ACT State Emergency Service

Finalists will be selected for four category awards, and two major winners will be announced recognising both paid and volunteers individually.

Nominations open 6 March 2019 and close 11:59pm 1 May 2019: www.act.rescawards.org.au
