Grants to empower and support Canberra’s youth

Released 17/07/2018

Young Canberrans with ideas for projects, events or activities are encouraged to apply for the latest round of Youth InterACT grants.

Grants of up to $1500 are available for one-off youth-led and youth-driven community projects that support and benefit young people aged between 12 and 25 years in Canberra.

Previous recipients include:

  • Trash Mob, a local youth-led initiative that aims to keep Canberra looking cleaner and greener;
  • CanTeen ACT, for their Foundations of Leadership Program; and
  • Belconnen Community Services for street art workshops.

The grants give young people the opportunity to turn their ideas into reality and the ACT Government is proud to support this ongoing initiative.

This is a great opportunity for young Canberrans to put forward activities, events or projects that contribute to increasing social inclusion and youth engagement within the ACT community.

Applications close midday on 20 August 2018. To apply visit http://www.communityservices.act.gov.au/home/grants.
