CBR’s biggest Business Sustainability Expo gets underway

The ACT’s biggest business sustainability expo is on again tomorrow and it’s a must for businesses or anyone keen to save money while helping to build a sustainable Canberra.

The Actsmart Business Expo is Canberra’s largest business sustainability expo. It features more than 40 exhibitors demonstrating green technologies in waste, water, energy and solar, as well as a variety of masterclasses, inspirational speakers and networking opportunities.

Key activities include:

  • A hands-on display of eco-friendly, low emission vehicles including electric and hydrogen-fuelled cars.
  • OzHarvest's celebrity chef cook off - Pialligo Estate's head chef Darren Perryman and the Boat House's head chef John Leverink turning rescued food into fine dining.
  • Keynote speakers including fashion model and climate activist Laura Wells; AHA award winner Little National Hotel's Maddie Groom and Mirvac Group's sustainability manager Kim Irini Daglis.
  • Masterclasses on topics including solar storage, sustainable transport and businesses sustainability.
  • Canberra Business Chamber VIP Lunch – hosted by local comedian Chris Ryan who will guide discussion on the topic 'Climate Emergency: Is there a get out of jail free card?'
