Ministerial Statement: Inquiry into the Extent, Nature and Consequence of Insecure Work in the ACT by the Standing Committee on Education, Employment and Youth Affairs

On-Demand Transport Industry Evaluation Report

Cabinet agreed to a change in the release program for taxi licences; community consultation on deregulating the cap on standard taxi licences and deregulating booked taxi fares; and the implementation of the minor recommendations of the report of the Evaluation of the 2015 Innovation Reforms to the On-Demand Transport Industry in the ACT.

Vulnerable children and their families: Early Intervention by Design policy advice

Cabinet agreed to a policy framework for long term reform of the human service system to enhance early intervention capacity and shift to a commissioning for outcomes environment, including establishment of Try, Test and Learn initiatives to demonstrate the effectiveness of early support.

Government Position on Private Members Bill (Ms Le Couteur) – Health (Improving Abortion Access) Amendment Bill 2018

Supported School Transport and the National Disability Insurance Scheme

Cabinet agreed to an ACT Government position for the upcoming Disability Reform Council meeting on Supported School Transport and the NDIS. A Triple Bottom Line assessment will be prepared on the final ACT Government position once bilateral negotiations have concluded.

Carbon farming at Ingledene Forest

Cabinet agreed to commence investigations on the re-establishment of a pine forest at the Ingledene forest site.

Statute Law Amendment Bill 2018

Minute number:  18/195/CAB

Cabinet agreed the Attorney-General present the Statute Law Amendment Bill 2018 in the Legislative Assembly. The Bill includes minor and technical amendments to the following legislation: the Freedom of Information Act 2016; the Health Act 1993; the Mental Health Act 2015; the Ombudsman Act 1989; the Public Health Act 1997; the Public Sector Management Act 1994; the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1995; the Road Transport (Alcohol and Drugs) Act 1977; the University of Canberra Act 1989; and the Workers Compensation Act 1951. The Bill also repeals the Health Regulation 2004.  A Triple Bottom Line Assessment was undertaken and it was determined the submission did not impact on any categories.

Government Response to the ACT Auditor-General’s Performance Report Number 6 of 2018 on Physical Security
