Cabinet agreed the Minister for Education and Early Childhood Development present the Education (Child Safety in Schools Legislation Amendment Bill 2018 (the Bill).  The Bill makes amendments to the Education Act 2004 and ACT Teacher Quality Institute Act 2010 that will enhance institutional protection of children.


Unexplained Wealth – Intergovernmental Agreement on the National Cooperative Scheme on Unexplained Wealth (the IGA)

Human Rights Principles for the Alexander Maconochie Centre

Implementation of the Secure Local Jobs Code

Cabinet agreed to the Secure Local Jobs Code and model contract terms for the Secure Local Jobs Package. Cabinet noted the outcomes of public consultation on the Secure Local Jobs Code and supporting instruments and that the supporting instruments would be made by the Minister for Employment and Workplace Safety. The making of the Code and supporting instruments are key parts of implementation of the Secure Local Jobs Package. A Triple Bottom Line assessment was prepared as part of the Secure Local Jobs Package considered by Cabinet on 30 July 2018 (18/60).

New Canberra Theatre Complex – Options and Demand Analysis
