Cabinet agreed the Chief Minister make a statement on Recreational Vehicle Tourism in the ACT in response to Legislative Assembly Resolution of 31 October 2018, in the ACT Legislative Assembly.

Under the requirements of the ACT Government Cabinet Handbook, no Triple Bottom Line Assessment was required for this item.

Government Submission to the Standing Committee on Administration and Procedure Inquiry into School Visits by MLAs

Cabinet agreed the ACT Government Submission to the Standing Committee on Administration and Procedure’s Inquiry into School Visits by MLAs. As a member of the Standing Committee on Administration and Procedure, Minister Rattenbury absented himself for consideration of this item.  A Triple Bottom Line Assessment was undertaken and it was determined the submission did not impact on any categories.

ACT Government Response to the Inquiry into the Future Sustainability of Health Funding in the ACT

Cabinet agreed to the ACT Government Response to the Standing Committee on Health, Ageing and Community Service’s Inquiry into the Sustainability of Health Funding in the ACT. A Triple Bottom Line Assessment was undertaken and it was determined the submission did not impact on any categories.

Gaming Legislation Amendment Bill 2019

Cabinet agreed the Attorney-General present the Gaming Legislation Amendment Bill 2019 in the ACT Legislative Assembly. The Bill implements a number of initiatives from the Government’s Pathway to 4,000 gaming machine authorisations policy, including providing for the establishment of the Diversification and Sustainability Support Fund.

The Triple Bottom Line Assessment was considered by Cabinet on 20 August 2018 (18/396/CAB - Reduction to 4,000 Gaming Machine Authorisations - Diversification Support, Incentives and Policy Approval) as part of the policy approval.

Finalisation of the Asset Recycling Initiative

Cabinet agreed to the final schedule of assets to be sold by the Territory under the Asset Recycling National Partnership Agreement.

Light Rail City to Woden – Route Options and EPBC Referral

Minute number:  19/094/CAB

Cabinet agreed an ‘Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 referral’ for the City to Woden light rail project be made to the Commonwealth Minister for the Environment and Energy. A Triple Bottom Line Assessment was undertaken and it was determined there are no immediate social, environmental or economic impacts associated with the progression of the Light Rail City to Woden approval activities.
