Cabinet agreed to the release of the ACT Climate Change Strategy 2019-2025 and Canberra’s Living Infrastructure Plan: Cooling the City.

Health Act Amendment Bill 2019

Minute number:  19/302/CAB

Cabinet agreed the Minister for Health present the Health Amendment Bill 2019 in the Legislative Assembly. The amendment will formalise the clinical governance requirement for the scope of practice of nurse practitioners in the ACT to be reviewed and credentialed for clinical privileges by a Scope of Clinical Practice.

The Triple Bottom Line Assessment was considered by Cabinet on 2 July 2019 (19/301/CAB Health Act Amendment Bill 2019 - policy approval).

Ministerial Statement: ACT Government Study Delegation to the USA – July 2019

Official Visitor Amendment Bill 2019

Cabinet agreed the Minister for Justice, Consumer Affairs and Road Safety present the Official Visitor Amendment Bill 2019 in the Legislative Assembly. The amendments, which are to the Official Visitor Act 2012 and related legislation, implement a range of recommendations from a review of the Official Visitor Scheme conducted in 2017.

Establishment of a minimum age for participation in combat sports

Cabinet considered community feedback and agreed to a minimum age for participation in combat sports under the Controlled Sports Act 2019. A Listening Report was released detailing community feedback, ahead of a government announcement on the final model selected.
