Cabinet agreed to the 2019-20 to 2022-23 Indicative Land Release Program for the residential, mixed use, commercial and community sectors and the 2019-20 Housing Targets for public, community and affordable housing.

The 2019-20 to 2022-23 Indicative Land Release Program will be released to the public concurrently with the 2019-20 ACT Budget.

Integrity Commission Amendment Bill

Ministerial Statement: Update on Maternity Services at the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children

Cabinet agreed the Minister for Health and Wellbeing make a Ministerial Statement on an Update on Maternity Services at the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children in the Legislative Assembly.

Crimes Legislation Amendment Bill 2019

Cabinet agreed the Attorney-General introduce the Crimes Legislation Amendment Bill 2019 in the Legislative Assembly.  The Bill will strengthen law enforcement outcomes, make procedural improvements to enhance court processes and enhance freedoms. This will be achieved by simplifying document service in personal and family violence proceedings, aligning with national unexplained wealth laws, exempting suppliers and consumers of low THC hemp seeds from criminal prosecution, guiding police powers to enter homes, protecting victims of domestic violence, and streamlining firearms offence prosecutions. The Triple Bottom Line Assessment was considered by Cabinet on 5 February 2019 (18/765/CAB Crimes Legislation Amendment Bill 2019 – policy approval) as part of the policy approval.

Government Submission to Standing Committee on Education, Employment and Youth Affairs Inquiry into management and minimisation of bullying and violence in government and non-government schools

Cabinet agreed to the Government Submission to the Inquiry into the Management and Minimisation of Bullying and Violence in ACT Schools.

Visiting Medical Officers Core Conditions Negotiations

Minute number: 18/436/CAB

Cabinet agreed to commence negotiations for new core conditions for Visiting Medical Officers contracts. Those negotiations will be undertaken in accordance with the requirements set out in Part 7 of the Health Act 1993 and will involve the Australian Medical Association ACT and ACT Visiting Medical Officers Association as appointed representatives of the Visiting Medical Officers. Negotiations will commence in May 2019, and the intention is that new core conditions will be in place by the end of the year.

A Triple Bottom Line Assessment was undertaken and it was determined the submission did not impact on any categories.

Government Response to the Final Report of the Independent Review into the Workplace Culture within ACT Public Health Services
