Major Projects Canberra Board Governance Arrangements

Cabinet agreed to the proposed governance arrangements for the newly established Major Projects Canberra. A Triple Bottom Line Assessment was undertaken and it was determined the submission did not impact on any categories.

Memorandum of Understanding for children with disability living in accommodation outside the family home

Cabinet agreed to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding for children with disability living in accommodation outside the family home with the Commonwealth Government. This agreement provides the operational guidance for the National Disability Insurance Agency and ACT Government regarding funding and support obligations for children with disability living in accommodation outside the family home

Human Rights Compatibility Statements for Significant Bills

Continuation of Builders’ Warranty Insurance - Update

Minute number: 19/433/CAB

Cabinet agreed to Treasury officials continuing to negotiate arrangements with QBE for the continuation of Builders’ Warranty Insurance in the ACT, following on from their earlier decision (19/373) on 2 July 2019. A Triple Bottom Line Assessment was considered by Cabinet with 19/373 Continuation of Builders’ Warranty Insurance on 2 July 2019.

ACT 5G revenue model for streetlights

Cabinet agreed to the proposed revenue model (fee and charge structure) that would apply to all telecommunication companies accessing the Government’s streetlight infrastructure for the placement of their devices that are 4G and 5G compatible, but that will facilitate 5G networks. Cabinet agreed to consult with industry on the proposed fee and charge structure and on the estimated number of streetlight poles to be used in the rollout.

University of New South Wales (UNSW) Canberra City Campus proposal – financial contribution
