Economic Recovery Package – Construction and Jobs Growth

Cabinet (Budget Committee of Cabinet) agreed to the Economic Recovery Package 1.3 Construction and Jobs Growth to support employment in the construction sector through short-term reductions in Lease Variation fees to encourage local construction activity.
National Partnership on HomeBuilder
Minute number: 20/385/BUD
Cabinet (Budget Committee of Cabinet) agreed the Chief Minister sign the National Partnership on HomeBuilder on behalf of the ACT Government, subject to final negotiations with the Commonwealth. This agreement will support Canberra’s residential construction sector through the COVID-19 pandemic and help Canberrans build or renovate their home.
Project Agreement for Community Health and Hospitals Australian Capital Territory Initiatives

Cabinet (Budget Committee of Cabinet) noted that the Minister for Health has signed the Project Agreement for the Community Health and Hospitals Program Australian Capital Territory Initiatives. Cabinet agreed the implementation of the ACT projects covered by the Project Agreement are entirely met from the funding provided by the Commonwealth and existing health resources and that all Commonwealth funding under the CHHP Agreement will be on-passed to ACT Health Directorate on top of the Health Funding Envelope.
Government Submission – House of Representatives Inquiry into Homelessness in Australia

Surrender of LGCs to meet 100 per cent renewable electricity target

Cabinet agreed to surrender a number of large-scale generation certificates required to deliver 100 per cent renewable electricity from 1 July 2019.
