Cabinet agreed the Minister for Police and Emergency Services present the Firearms Legislation Amendment Bill 2020 in the Legislative Assembly. The Bill contains amendments that support the genuine use of firearms in relation to aviation security and the sports of biathlon and modern pentathlon.

Rates Amendment Bill 2020

Cabinet agreed the Treasurer present the Rates Amendment Bill 2020 in the Legislative Assembly. The Bill extends the period for determining the average unimproved value (AUV) of ACT properties and clarifies the treatment of AUV for land subject to chargeable variations of nominal rent Crown leases. The Triple Bottom Line Assessment was considered by Cabinet on 21 October 2019 (19/516 Rates Amendment Bill 2020 – policy approval).
