Transport Canberra and City Services will continue maintenance and asphalting works on a section of the Monaro Highway, near Royalla tonight, Thursday 8 December 2016.
Line marking work will also complete recent resurfacing work on College Street in Belconnen.
Location of road works
- Monaro Highway, between Royalla Drive and Williamsdale Road, near Royalla.
- College Street/Nettlefold Street and Lathlain Street intersection, Belconnen.
Timing of works
- Weather permitting, the works will start from 6 pm tonight.
- Work will be completed by 6 am tomorrow (Friday 9 December 2016).
- In the event of delays, work will be scheduled for Belconnen tomorrow evening and on the Monaro Highway during the day, Monday 12 December 2016.
Effects on traffic
- During the works, the speed limit for the section of roads will be reduced to 40km per hour.
- Temporary lane closures will be place.
- Traffic controllers will be on site to manage the flow of traffic and to assist local motorists to access their homes or businesses.
