To allow upgrades to the water main network in Kingston, a number of road and footpath closures will be in place from tomorrow (Tuesday 12 July 2016).
The closures on Dawes Street will be conducted in two stages starting at Kennedy Street heading towards Wentworth Avenue. The road closures will be as below:
- eastbound from Kennedy Street to Howitt Street
- eastbound from Howitt Street to Wentworth Avenue.
Only one section will be closed at any one time.
The footpath on the northern and western side of Dawes Street will also be closed at this time.
These closures will be in place from 7 am to 5 pm daily (aside from Sundays) from Tuesday 12 July 2016 until Tuesday 30 August 2016.
Barriers and warning signs will be erected to alert people to the closures.
