Road resealing work on Gungahlin Drive south of Ginninderra Drive is expected to be completed over three days starting Wednesday 4 January 2017 to extend the life of the road pavement. This work is being done in January to lessen the impact on motorists.
The work will involve resealing the existing road surface and replacing the line markings. This will require changed traffic arrangements to be put in place.
Location of road works
These works will be conducted on both northbound and southbound lanes of Gungahlin Drive south of Ginninderra Drive, towards Bruce Stadium.
Timing of works
- Works will be conducted on Wednesday 4, Thursday 5 and Friday 6 January 2017.
- On each day works will be undertaken between 9 am and 4 pm.
Effects on traffic
- During the works the speed limit around the site will be reduced to 40km per hour
- Temporary lanes closures will be put in place
- One lane will remain open at all times, both north and south bound
- Traffic controllers will be on site to manage the flow of traffic and to assist local motorists to access their homes or businesses
- Delays are expected
- Motorists are advised to take an alternative route to avoid delays
- A reduced speed limit will be in place until loose stones have been removed
Variable message boards are in place to advise motorists.
