On Thursday 30 July 2026, all Transport Canberra bus services will cease between 9:30 am and 1:30 pm to allow for all bus drivers to attend an important meeting to be conducted by the Transport Workers Union.
The meeting, which is authorised by the ACT Government, is a necessary step towards finalising a new Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA).
- Transport Canberra bus services will not operate between 9:30 am and 1:30 pm.
- Limited services will be available between 9.00 am – 9:30 am and 1:00 pm – 1:30 pm to allow for drivers to come off the road for the meeting in the morning and services to start back up in the afternoon.
- Peak travel and school services will not be affected.
- Light rail services will not be affected.
- Supported School Transport and Flexible Bus Services will not be affected.
- CDC buses will not be affected.
Canberrans are encouraged to plan ahead during this time to avoid any inconvenience.
