Released 27/12/2024
Amelia and Noah have taken the top spots for most popular baby names in the ACT for 2024.
While Amelia has been a regular at the top of the list, it is Noah’s first time as the most popular boy baby name.
Noah, which came in equal 7th on the list of boys’ names in 2023, has been in the top 10 each year since 2017. Oliver and Henry, which had occupied the top two positions since 2021, placed second and third.
Amelia has been in the top 10 since 2011 and it’s the sixth time this name has been at number one. In 2023, Amelia shared the number one spot with Charlotte.
Now number three (equal with Ava), this is the first year Charlotte has not topped the popular girls names since 2019. Isla moved up the list from number eight to number two.
