This coming Easter long weekend will see changes to public transport timetables and waste collection services as per normal practice. This is not a response to COVID-19.
While bus and rail services will continue to operate, people are being urged to only use them if absolutely necessary. These services are essential for many in our community to get to the shops, to appointments and to and from work and we urge people to avoid non-essential travel to help stop the spread of COVID-19 in our community.
Bus services will be operating to a Sunday timetable over the Easter holiday period on the following days:
Saturday 11 April 2020 will continue to operate to a Saturday timetable.
Light rail services will operate to a Sunday frequency over the Easter holiday period, 10 – 13 April 2020. Bus and light rail services will return to their regular schedules on Tuesday 14 April 2020.
Please use MyWay or pre-purchased tickets from ticket vending machines to travel. Cash will no longer be accepted on Transport Canberra buses until further notice as we respond to COIVD-19 to help keep our customers and drivers safe.
For more information and to access timetables visit www.transport.act.gov.au or call 13 17 10.
