All ACT Government sportsgrounds will be closed for training today Friday 26 November 2021 due to the wet weather. Competition match play can still go ahead. Closures include turf sportsgrounds, excluding the Melrose and Nicholls synthetic fields and the Woden athletic track.
With the high amount of rainfall received, the decision has been taken in order to minimise damage to the turf surfaces and in the interests of public safety.
An announcement will be made later today if grounds will remain closed over the weekend for training and / or match play.
Peak sporting bodies are being contacted by the ACT Government to advise of the closure for training activity.
