All ACT Government sportsgrounds will remain closed for training today Friday 26 November and tomorrow Saturday 27 November 2021 due to the wet weather. Competition match play can still go ahead.
Closures include turf sportsgrounds, excluding the Melrose and Nicholls synthetic fields and the Woden athletic track.
The decision has been taken in order to minimise damage to the turf surfaces and in the interests of public safety.
An announcement will be made tomorrow (Saturday) if grounds will remain closed for training and / or match play for Sunday sport.
Peak sporting bodies are being contacted by the ACT Government to advise of the closure for training activity.
