All ACT Government turf sportsgrounds will be closed for training and match play from today, Wednesday 8 June 2022. Closures will remain in place until Saturday 11 June 2022, when grounds will be ready for weekend sports activity.
Sportsgrounds have not recovered sufficiently to allow activity on grounds following recent wet weather.
The decision has been taken in order to minimise damage to turf surfaces after recent rainfall and low evaporation rates.
Closures this week include turf sportsgrounds but exclude the Melrose and Nicholls synthetic fields and the Woden athletics track.
Sportsgrounds will reopen for training and match play from Saturday 11 June 2022.
