Canberra’s vaccination rate is among the highest in the nation, with more than two in five ACT adults having had their first vaccination, and 16 per cent fully vaccinated. Canberrans are showing that they want to get vaccinated to protect themselves and their community from the worst health risks of COVID‑19.
That’s why we are starting the process of registering 30 to 39 year olds for their COVID-19 vaccination at an ACT Government clinic. From Wednesday 21 July, we encourage 30-39 year old Canberrans to start their registration process so that they are in the system and can be scheduled for their vaccination once supply of Pfizer increases in the coming months.
We know that there will be strong demand for the Pfizer vaccination in this age cohort. By opening up the registration process ahead of availability, the Government can ensure that the MyDHR system is ready and that there is more time to manage any registration issues.
30-39 year old Canberrans who register early will receive a notification next month to make a Pfizer vaccination booking at an ACT Government Mass Vaccination clinic when the ACT’s supply of Pfizer is expected to increase in September.
To cater for the increased demand, the ACT Government is working on opening another mass vaccination hub with capacity to deliver the Pfizer vaccine.
Outbreaks across the country in the last few weeks show why we can’t be complacent when it comes to this virus. We’ve seen unvaccinated adults of all ages in hospitals and in ICUs with COVID‑19. We absolutely have to treat vaccinations with urgency and we must continue to do everything that we can to get people vaccinated as soon as possible.

From Wednesday 21 July, Canberrans aged from 30 to 39 years old are encouraged to register through MyDHR so that they can be notified when appointments are available.
The ACT Government COVID-19 vaccination phone booking line is available for those who are unable to register online for MyDHR.
The ACT continues to work with the Commonwealth Government and other healthcare providers to deliver a safe, effective and accessible vaccine program in the ACT.
