Floriade is back with the Sounds of Spring

Released 16/09/2022

Floriade is back, returning to its traditional format in Commonwealth Park to celebrate its 35th anniversary with this year’s theme the Sounds of Spring.

The festivities for one of the ACT’s premier events will run from 17 September until 16 October, bringing crowds back to provide a Spring boost to our economy.

In 2019 and before the pandemic, Floriade attracted a record 507,550 attendees, with an economic impact of around $45 million in our $60 billion Territory economy.

Major events contribute to our economy, attracting thousands of visitors who fill our hotels and eat and shop at our local businesses.  Half of the attendees at Floriade are tourists.

This year visitors will be treated to over one million blooms, a diverse program of music, cultural celebrations, food and beverages, horticultural workshops, market traders, artistic displays, entertainment, special guests, recreational activities and more.

Local businesses will also showcase the great range of food and beverages we have to offer with an Underground Spirits Gin Garden, The Tikka Stand Food Truck, authentic Italian cuisine from Occasioni by Agostinis and many more.

Entry to Floriade is free, and the gates are open from 9.00am – 5.30pm daily.
