“A big part of my motivation is representing the minority Sikh/South Asian culture that I come from, and encouraging youth from the community to identify and connect with their culture proudly. The National Multicultural Festival a great opportunity for me to showcase my new work to a wider audience but also to celebrate and share our differences, learning from each other, making for a stronger combined society. My music is an authentic expression of my story growing up in the contemporary Australian setting with a strong ancestral Punjabi culture. The music naturally developed to sound the way it does with both the electronic and traditional elements because that is who I am.”
