Released 06/04/2021

The ACT Government 2020-21 Community Support and Infrastructure Grant program opens today, supporting ACT community organisations to deliver programs and services effectively and efficiently for the benefit of the ACT community.

A total of $200,000 is available through the grants program. Individual organisations can apply for up to $10,000 to build infrastructure, purchase equipment and deliver programs and services.

Minister for Families and Community Services Rachel Stephen-Smith said community organisations play a key role in keeping Canberrans connected, healthy and supported.

“These grants support community organisations to continue delivering services and programs that provide great benefit to the community.

“These have been designed to reach a wide group of community organisations with varied needs and goals. I encourage any organisation with an idea or project to consider applying,” said Minister Stephen-Smith.

Successful recipients of the 2019-20 grants round included new recording equipment for Gorman Arts Centre, a community kitchen fit out for Yeddung Mura Aboriginal Corporation and communication training for ACT Disability Aged & Carer Advocacy Service Inc.
