Sustainable Business Expo is back for 2022

Released 21/10/2022

Canberra’s premier Sustainable Business Expo is back and will showcase the latest products, services and ideas to enable businesses to save money and take climate action.

On Thursday 3 November, businesses from across the ACT and surrounding regions are once again coming together to share information on how businesses are driving change and taking action on climate change.

Minister for Water, Energy and Emissions Reduction Shane Rattenbury said businesses are at the forefront of climate action projects and innovations across the globe.

“The expo is a great opportunity to showcase the climate leadership of Canberra businesses, and for the Canberra community and businesses to learn more about innovative sustainability products and services on offer,” Minister Rattenbury said.

“The ACT is leading the nation on climate action with some of most ambitious emissions reduction targets and policies in Australia, which is why the Territory is also a key hub for renewable energy and sustainable technology innovation.

“The expo is one way the ACT Government is helping to strengthen the ACT’s renewable energy and sustainability sectors and support local businesses to become more sustainable.

“The event will bring together up to 50 exhibitors, a series of talks and presentations from industry leaders, live demonstrations, and electric vehicle test drives for businesses looking to transition their vehicle fleets.

“The expo will also focus on the importance of emissions reduction efforts from key sectors, including gas, transport and waste – and how small steps and actions that businesses take can help them save money and help us achieve net zero emissions by 2045.

The Sustainable Business Expo is open to all businesses and organisations, no matter where they are up to in their sustainability journey. To get your free ticket and find out more, visit the ACT Climate Choices website.

“I am excited to be able to share Little National Hotel’s story at the Sustainable Business Expo.

“For many years, our team have placed sustainability at the heart of our operations, but without compromising the guest experience. We’ve focused on improving our energy efficiency, reducing waste to landfill, and including sustainability as part of our procurement process.
