WorkSafe ACT is currently at the scene of a residential construction worksite fatality at Denman Prospect.
A 60-year-old male worker died at the scene and investigations into the cause of the incident are ongoing.
The incident occurred at around 10am at a residential construction site on Temple Terrace.
ACT Ambulance Service Paramedics and ACT Policing attended the site.
WorkSafe ACT inspectors are expected to remain at the site until late in the day and are working closely with ACT Policing’s Criminal Investigation Team. A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
WorkSafe ACT is ensuring that support is put in place for colleagues of the worker and witnesses at the scene.
WorkSafe ACT’s thoughts are with the worker’s family, friends and colleagues at this difficult time.
