Nominations are now open for the 2024 ACT Women’s Awards.
The ACT Women’s Awards recognise women, and transgender, non-binary and female identifying people who improve the status and lives of women and girls in the ACT.
Each year, these awards recognise an ACT Woman of the Year, ACT Young Woman of the Year and ACT Senior Woman of the Year and all awards finalists are added to the ACT Women’s Honour Roll.
Refugees, temporary residents, women with disability, transgender, non-binary and female identifying people are all eligible for nomination and are encouraged to nominate.
Women can be nominated for their contribution in any of the following areas:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Affairs
- Arts and media
- Business, industry and workplace relations
- Community advocacy and inclusion (Seniors/Veterans/Women/Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer)
- Disability
- Education
- Environment
- Government and politics
- Health
- Human rights, justice and corrections
- Multicultural affairs
- Planning, construction and architecture
- Police and emergency services
- Prevention of domestic and family violence
- Science, technology, engineering, mathematics and research
- Sport and recreation
- Volunteering

Nominations are now open and can be made online at the Community Services Directorate Website. Nominations close Monday 2 October 2023.
The ACT Women’s Awards and the ACT Honour Roll ceremony will take place as part of International Women’s Day celebrations in early March 2023.
