Supporting non-government school upgrades

Five ACT non-government schools will share in $3.8 million of ACT Government grant funding as part of the seventh round of the Better Schools for Our Kids Program – Non-Government Infrastructure Upgrades Program.

Minister for Education and Youth Affairs Yvette Berry said the funding had been provided to non-government schools to enhance school facilities through infrastructure upgrades.
“The ACT Government is committed to supporting all schools in the ACT to deliver the best possible educational environments for children and young people,” Minister Berry said.

The successful non-government schools sharing in this funding are:

  • St Benedict’s Primary School
  • Stromlo Forest Anglican College
  • Islamic School of Canberra
  • Taqwa School
  • Blue Gum Community School

The successful projects include the construction of new and expanded classrooms, the refurbishment of staff facilities, the construction of a new multipurpose hall and the construction of a new preschool building.
