It is not intended to be a detailed set of minutes and does not cover all matters considered by Cabinet. Among matters not covered are materials considered in the formation of the ACT budget, commercial and industrial matters under negotiation, as well as matters that would impact personal privacy, security and the ACT economy. Nothing in this document can be considered a waiver of the Government’s executive privilege.

Committees of Cabinet
A meeting of the Urban Development Committee of Cabinet was held. Relevant officials joined with Ministers to discuss matters of development and planning significance.
National Partnership Agreements (Omnibus)
Cabinet considered a number of intergovernmental agreements and national partnerships currently under development. The agreements improve capacity to undertake strategic planning and will contribute to improved outcomes for the broader ACT community.
National Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (GEMS)
Cabinet considered the ACT position in relation to the Commonwealth Government’s Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards Legislative Scheme.

Appointments
Legal Aid Commissioner
Cabinet agreed to endorse a nominee for Legal Aid Commissioner. Appointment of the Legal Aid Commissioner is subject to consultation with the Standing Committee on Justice and Community Safety.
Official Visitor
Cabinet agreed to endorse the re-appointment of an Official Visitor, subject to Standing Committee consultation.
Gambling and Racing Commission Governing Board
Cabinet agreed to endorse an appointment to the Gambling and Racing Commission Governing Board subject to consultation with the Standing Committee on Public Accounts.
Centenary of Canberra Quarterly Report
Cabinet was provided an update on the Centenary of Canberra program. Cabinet noted major updates and the outcomes from the public launch of the Centenary of Canberra program preview.
