Payroll Capability and Human Resource Management

Overview

The ACT Government is working to improve payroll and human resource management across the ACT Public Service (ACTPS). The approach is to build on existing ICT investments by upgrading current payroll and HR solutions and designing a new time and attendance solution, to be delivered by a Payroll Capability and Human Resource Management Program.

Benefits

Upgrading existing payroll and HR solutions to the latest versions which are secure and well governed will address the most important elements of human resource and payroll capability for the ACTPS. Upgrading will offer increased process automation, additional payroll process functionality and offer enhancements to the human resource self-service portal for ACTPS staff.

A new time and attendance system to be used across the ACTPS will create efficiencies through reduced manual processing. The design work for this new system will commence in 2023-24.
