Access and ballot - Administrative and Related Classifications Enterprise Agreement 2026 - 2029
Access Period
The access period for employees covered by the ACT Public Sector Administrative and Related Classifications Enterprise Agreement 2026 – 2029 (PDF 10.4MB) (Agreement) commenced on 12 August 2026 and concludes when the ballot period opens on 26 August 2026.
During this period, employees can review the proposed Agreement and supporting materials before participating in the ballot.
Consideration Process
As required by the Fair Work Act 2009, employees are being provided with a range of information to support their consideration of the proposed Agreement, including:
- Explanatory Notes (PDF 740.6KB) which outline changes and improvements to the proposed Agreement.
- A document highlighting the materials referenced (PDF 365.7KB) in the proposed Agreement.
- Information sessions for employees to learn more about the proposed Agreement, including the key changes, salary increases and improvements to employment conditions and entitlements.
Employees are encouraged to review these materials before participating in the ballot.

Ballot Process
The voting period opens on 26 August 2026 and incorporates the seven-day access period required under the Fair Work Act 2009. Voting closes at 4pm on 8 September 2026.
Employees covered by the proposed Agreement will receive information about how to participate in the ballot, including instructions for casting their vote. Employees are encouraged to ensure they participate in the ballot and have their say on the proposed Agreement.
Approval Process
The proposed Agreement will be approved if a majority of employees casting a valid vote, vote in favour of the Agreement. Following employee endorsement, the Agreement will be submitted to the Fair Work Commission (FWC) for approval.
The employment conditions and entitlements contained in the Agreement will take effect seven days after approval by the FWC. To ensure employees benefit from the salary outcomes as soon as possible, the salary increases under the Agreement will be applied on payday 8 October 2026, with any applicable backpay to be processed as soon as practicable thereafter.

Employees are invited to attend information sessions to learn more about the proposed Agreement, including the key changes, salary increases and improvements to employment conditions and entitlements.
