WorkSafe ACT was called to an incident yesterday involving a contract worker on the light rail project near the intersection of Northbourne Ave and Swindon St Downer.
The worker received an electrical shock, was conveyed to Calvary Hospital and was released later in the day after medical assessment and clearance.
The causal effect of the electrical shock is the subject of an investigation by WorkSafe.
WorkSafe has issued a stop work prohibition notice for the site, which will stay in place until the cause is identified, resolved and the work site is deemed safe.
