Public Service Medal
The Public Service Medal recognises outstanding service by employees of the Australian Government as well as state, territory and local government employees.
The Public Service Medal is part of the official Australian system of honours. It is open to officers across the ACT Public Service and recognises those who have made a major contribution and who perform their jobs to the highest standards.
It recognises government employees who have given outstanding service, through:
- service excellence to the public, or to external or internal clients;
- innovation in program, project or policy development;
- leadership, including as a member of a team; and
- the achievement of more efficient processes, improved productivity or better service delivery.
Further information, including the nomination guidelines can be found on the PM&C website.
The Public Service Medal for the ACT Public Service is managed by CMTEDD Communications and Engagement Division. Nominations are closed, and the next round of recipients will be announced as part of the 2024 Australia Day Honours.
