Implementing Service Planning

A Triple Bottom Line Assessment was conducted to determine the impacts of proposed reform and improvement of government services, through Transformational Service Advice on three dimensions: economic, social and environmental.  The Summary demonstrates that Strategic Service Planning should have positive impact on all three dimensions, with projected differential budget impacts reflecting both investment in service improvement and service efficiencies.

‘ACT Government on a page’ - Service Identification and Cost 2011-12 was a key output of the first stage of implementation.  It presents information on Government services and their costs based on 2011-12 Audited Financials.  This is the same information as presented in 2011-12 Directorate Annual Reports and therefore reflects the then Administrative Arrangements. As a result Treasury and Chief Minister and Cabinet appear as their own Directorate and Commerce and Works Directorate is not represented as it was not yet established (it’s functions are reflected across other Directorate functions).
