Southbound closure of Mort Street for crane installation at development

To ensure safety surrounding the installation of a crane associated with the Yamaroshi development, Transport Canberra and City Services would like to advise that a small section of southbound traffic on Mort Street in Braddon will be closed this weekend, Saturday 24 March and Sunday 25 March, 2018 (weather permitting).


What section of Mort Street will be affected?

  • A small southbound section will be closed between Elouera Street and Cooyong Street.
  • The section of road will be closed from 6 am Saturday 24 March till 10 pm Sunday 25 March, 2018.

Northbound local traffic will be available to use Mort Street in the affected area with a detour in place through off-street car parking.

The southbound section of Mort Street may open before Sunday evening if the crane installation is completed earlier than expected.

Alternative routes will also be in place along nearby Lonsdale and Torrens Streets.

Signage and barriers will be in place to alert motorists of the closure.
