As part of the ACT Government’s Open Government commitment, this document is a public summary of matters considered by Cabinet.  It is not intended to be a detailed set of minutes and does not cover all matters considered by Cabinet.  Among matters not covered are materials considered in the formation of the ACT budget, commercial and industrial matters under negotiation, as well as matters that would impact personal privacy, security and the ACT economy.  Nothing in this document can be considered a waiver of the Government’s executive privilege.

Committees of Cabinet

A meeting of the Budget Committee of Cabinet was held.  Treasury officials joined with Ministers to discuss matters of fiscal significance.

Council of Australian Governments – April 2012 meeting

Cabinet agreed the ACT position on a number of items proposed for discussion at the Council of Australian Governments’ April 2012 meeting.   

ACT Business Development Strategy

Cabinet discussed the proposed ACT Business Development Strategy.  A discussion paper to inform the Strategy was released in December 2011 and the community was invited to comment on these issues and raise other ideas and views that are relevant to the ACT Government’s role in building a robust local economy.
