Budget Committee of Cabinet

A meeting of the Budget Committee of Cabinet was held.  Treasury Officials joined with Ministers to discuss matters of fiscal significance.

Security and Emergency Management Committee

A meeting of the Security and Emergency Management Committee was held.  Officials briefed Ministers on security and emergency management issues.

Presentation – Centenary of Canberra

With only 90 days until Canberra celebrates its centenary, Ms Robyn Archer, Creative Director of the Centenary of Canberra team delivered a presentation and status update to Ministers detailing events and programs scheduled for throughout 2013.

Gungahlin Strategic Assessment Amendment to Terms of Reference under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (Cwth)

Cabinet agreed to request an amendment to the Strategic Assessment Agreement and Terms of Reference under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (Cwth) to include the suburb of Moncrieff and the Throsby school site. 

A copy of the amended agreement and terms of reference will be available on the Environment websiteimg-icn-extlink once agreed by the Commonwealth Government.

ACT Government Gungahlin Office – Tender process

Cabinet agreed to commence negotiations with the preferred tenderer for the ACT Government Office in Gungahlin   the KDN Group.  The successful tenderer will construct an A-Grade, green office building consistent with the requirements of the request for tender.

Appointment to University of Canberra Council

Cabinet agreed to endorse a proposed re-appointment to the University of Canberra Council, subject to Standing Committee consultation.
