Committees of Cabinet

A Budget Committee of Cabinet meeting was held.  Treasury officials joined with Ministers to discuss matters of fiscal significance.
A meeting of the Urban Development Committee of Cabinet was held.  Relevant officials joined with Ministers to discuss matters of development and planning significance.

2013 Cabinet Handbook

Cabinet agreed to amend the Cabinet Handbook to include new and updated guidance to reflect current government requirements and governance arrangements.  The 2013 edition of the Cabinet Handbook is available on the CMTEDD Website

Government Response to the Standing Committee on Education, Training and Youth Affairs Report No. 10: Accommodation Needs of Tertiary Education Students in the ACT

Cabinet agreed the Government response to the Standing Committee on Education, Training and Youth Affairs Report No. 10: Accommodation Needs of Tertiary Education Students in the ACT.  The Government Response was tabled in the ACT Legislative Assembly and is available on the Assembly Website

Government Response to Standing Committee on Public Accounts: Review of Auditor-General's Report No. 5 of 2011: 2010-11 Financial Audits

Cabinet agreed the Government response to the Standing Committee on Public Accounts ‘Review of Auditor General’s Report No. 5 of 2011:  2010 11 Financial Audits.  The Government Response was tabled in the ACT Legislative Assembly and is available on the Assembly Website.

Direct Sale to the Tom Efkarpidis Foundation Pty Ltd of part Block 23 Section 43 Scullin

Cabinet agreed to the direct sale of part block 23 section 43 in Scullin to the Tom Efkarpidis Foundation Pty Ltd.  A map of the relevant block and assessment criteria pursuant to Section 112 of the Planning and Development Regulation 2008 are available at https://www.planning.act.gov.au/tools-resources/publications

Government Response - 'Getting Home Safely' - Inquiry into compliance with Work Health and Safety Requirements in the ACT's Construction Industry

Cabinet agreed the Minister for Workplace Safety and Industrial Relations announce the Government’s response to the inquiry into compliance with work health and safety requirements in the ACT’s construction industry.  The Government Response was tabled in the ACT Legislative Assembly and is available on the Assembly Website  as well as the ACT Work Safety Commissioner’s website

Government Response to Standing Committee on Health, Community and Social Services Report No. 8: The Provision of Social Housing in the ACT

Cabinet agreed the Government response to the Standing Committee on Health and Community Services Report No. 8: Inquiry into the Provisions of Social Housing.  The Government Response was tabled in the ACT Legislative Assembly and is available on the Assembly Website

Government Submission to Standing Committee on Public Accounts on the Auditor - General’s Report No. 5, 2012 Management of Recycling Estates and E-Waste

Cabinet agreed the Government Submission to the Standing Committee on Public Accounts concerning the Auditor General’s Report No. 5 of 2012: Management of Recycling Estates and E Waste http://www.audit.act.gov.au/reports2012.html

The Government Submission will be released by the Public Accounts Committee following their inquiry.

Justice and Community Safety Amendment Bill 2013 (No 2)

Cabinet agreed the Attorney-General present the Justice and Community Safety Legislation Amendment Bill 2013 (No 2), to the Legislative Assembly. The Bill and Explanatory Statement are available on the Legislation Register.
