As part of the ACT Government’s Open Government commitment, this document is a public summary of matters considered by Cabinet.  It is not intended to be a detailed set of minutes and does not cover all matters considered by Cabinet.  Among matters not covered are materials considered in the formation of the ACT budget, commercial and industrial matters under negotiation, as well as matters that would impact personal privacy, security and the ACT economy.  Nothing in this document can be considered a waiver of the Government’s executive privilege.

Autumn 2013 Legislation Program

Cabinet agreed to the Autumn 2013 Legislation Program, detailing priority Government Bills proposed for introduction in the Legislative Assembly during the Autumn session.

Government Response to Committee Inquiry into 2010-11 Annual and Financial Reports

Cabinet agreed Government responses to the reports by six Standing Committees of the 7th Assembly into 2010-11 Annual and Financial Reports, which were tabled throughout 2012.  The responses will be tabled in the Legislative Assembly, and will be publicly available on the ACT Legislative Assembly website at https://www.parliament.act.gov.au/img-icn-extlink

Statement of Government Policy: Land Policy and Development Objectives for 2013-14

Direct Sale to Greening Australia (Capital Region) Ltd of Block 23 and Part Block 24 Section 1 Aranda

Cabinet endorsed the direct sale of Block 23 and Part Block 24, Section 1 Aranda to Greening Australia Capital Region (GACR), in accordance with Section 112 of the Planning and Development Regulation 2008.  A map of the relevant blocks and information about Greening Australia is available here https://www.planning.act.gov.au/tools-resources/publicationsimg-icn-extlink

Justice and Community Safety Amendment Bill

Cabinet agreed to the Attorney General Tabling the Justice and Community Safety Legislation Amendment Bill 2013 in the Legislative Assembly during the February sittings.  The Bill will make amendments consequential to the passage of the Retirement Villages Act 2012, which commences 4 March 2013.  The Bill and Explanatory Statement are available on the ACT Legislation Website http://www.legislation.act.gov.au/b/db_47266/default.aspimg-icn-extlink
