SUMMARY OF CABINET OUTCOMES FOR 3 AUGUST 2015

Capital Metro Subcommittee

The Capital Metro Subcommittee of Cabinet met and considered updates on the project and considered options for the future delivery of light rail service to the ACT.

Government response to recommendations of ACT Auditor-General Report No 8 of 2013: Management of Funding for community services

Cabinet endorsed the proposed Government's response to the Auditor-General's Report No. 8 of 2013 on the Management of Funding for community services, and approved it for tabling in the Legislative Assembly.

Role of ACT Government under the NDIS – 3rd six monthly report, January 2015

Cabinet approved the tabling of the third six monthly report on the ACT Government's role under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Cabinet noted that the third six monthly report shows the ACT is performing well, with 91 percent of participants having an approved plan under the NDIS.

Corrections Management Amendment Bill 2015 – Introduction

Cabinet endorsed the Corrections Management Amendment Bill 2015 for introduction in the Legislative Assembly. The Bill contains amendments to the Corrections Management Act 2007 and the Children and Young People Act 2008.

Cabinet considered a number of proposed Ministerial statements to the Legislative Assembly.

Appointments

Cabinet endorsed the:

  • Government Procurement Board proposed appointments;
  • Brand Canberra Advisory Board proposed appointments;
  • Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) proposed appointment;and
  • Nominations for appointments to the Board of SeniorSecondary Studies.
